How to play Sweet Bonanza, step by step
To play Sweet Bonanza, choose a bet, spin the 6x5 grid and let the tumbles run. Wins are counted by how many matching symbols are on screen, not by lines. The one thing to know is that multiplier bombs only come in the feature round you reach with lollipop scatters.
- Log in to Playme8, open the slots lobby and pick Sweet Bonanza in the Pragmatic Play channel (Sweet Bonanza 1000 in the lobby is a different game).
- Choose your bet level; the total stake per spin is shown on screen.
- Spin the 6x5 grid. Any 8 or more matching symbols anywhere on the screen form a win.
- Winning symbols are removed and the gaps refill from above (tumbling), which can chain several wins together.
- Land 4 to 6 lollipop scatters to trigger the feature round with 10 feature spins.
- During the feature, multiplier bombs worth 2x to 100x can drop; at the end of a tumbling sequence their values are added together and applied to the win.
Quick tip: Read the paytable once: the fruit symbols pay far less than the sweets, which explains why some 8-symbol wins look tiny.
How the Sweet Bonanza features work
Sweet Bonanza has three main features: pay-anywhere wins with tumbles, lollipop scatters that both pay and start the feature, and multiplier bombs whose values are added together when a tumbling sequence ends.
Pay anywhere + tumbles
Any 8 or more matching symbols form a win. They are removed and refilled from above, so one spin can chain several wins.
Lollipop scatters
Landing 4 to 6 at once starts 10 feature spins, and Pragmatic Play says the scatters themselves award up to 100x.
Candy multiplier bombs
In the feature, bombs worth 2x to 100x can land. When the sequence ends, all bomb values on screen are added and applied to the win.
Two-tier paytable
Fruit symbols are the low payers and sweets are the high payers, so two 8-symbol wins can pay very differently.
Who is Sweet Bonanza for? Pros and cons
Sweet Bonanza suits players who want a pay-anywhere slot with a very simple base game, because there are no multipliers to follow there. It is less suited to anyone who wants to see multipliers often, since every bomb is saved for the feature round.
Pros
- The base game is easy to read: you only check whether 8 matching symbols have landed.
- Scatters pay on their own, not only as a trigger.
- Several bombs in one sequence are added together, so feature wins can grow quickly.
Cons
- No multipliers in the base game, so until the feature you rely on the paytable alone.
- Eight-fruit wins are often smaller than expected.
- The provider page does not state volatility.
Common misconceptions about Sweet Bonanza
The most frequent misunderstanding about Sweet Bonanza is that multiplier bombs can drop at any time. Pragmatic Play describes them as landing during the feature, and their values are added together, not multiplied by each other.
“A 10x bomb and a 5x bomb in one sequence make 50x”
The facts: Bomb values are added when the sequence ends: 10x and 5x make 15x, which is then applied to the win.
“Six scatters give more spins than four”
The facts: The game page says 4 to 6 scatters award the same 10 feature spins. What changes is the scatter payout itself, up to 100x.
“Seeing a bomb in the base game means a hit is coming”
The facts: According to the provider, multiplier bombs belong to the feature round. In the base game, watch the lollipop scatters instead.
